Tonight Show ratings dip for NBC’s Jay Leno in comparison to Conan O’Brien. The Tonight Show with host Jay Leno is pulling in some disappointing numbers and the viewers are on the decline. The ratings also plunged this summer as The Tonight Show averages 3.8 million viewers.
Show ratings for Jay Leno have plunged. In fact, he’s pulling in a smaller audience than Conan O’Brien. NBC enjoyed a 12 percent boost in viewers from O’Brien about a year ago.
Ratings for the desirable adults-18-to-49 demographic have dropped. Leno has been averaging 3.8 million viewers since the end of the standing broadcast season. However, The Tonight Show is beating The Late Show with David Letterman by 22 percent.
Overall, The Late Show is steady with its performance from the previous year, when it hit its own record low. Furthermore, also steady are The Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, while the latter two have shown gains in viewership from last summer. Moreover, the NBC feud with Conan O’Brien didn’t help the Tonight Show either.
