Tony Parker and fiancee Axelle Francine welcome their first child, a baby boy named Josh, born on April 30. Parker, 31, and the French journalist announced they were expecting a baby last October.
“Hey just wanted to say that I’m very happy today,” the NBA player tweeted at the time. “Me and my future Wife going to have a Baby Boy!!!!”
The new parents first began dating in 2011. Back in June 2013, Parker hinted that the twosome were headed to the altar. While telling a fan what he likes to do during his downtime, he tweeted: “Spend time with my fiance.”
On the same day, Parker, who is the point guard for the San Antonio Spurs, went on to play against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of their first-round series, which is tied at two games apiece.
Parker was previously married to actress Eva Longoria for three years. The pair ended their marriage in 2010 and finalized their divorce in January 2011 following Parker’s public sexting scandal with Erin Barry, the wife of his former Spurs teammate Brent Barry.
Parker later told his Twitter followers that honeymoon plans include “The Maldives, Tahiti and a safari anywhere in Africa.” However, the engagement came as a surprise since Parker had just sworn off of remarrying following his high-profile divorce from Longoria.
Longoria, famous Latina Producer of “Devious Maids,” also starred in the steamy show “Desperate Housewives.”
“I just got out of [a marriage], so no,” he said, according to Us Weekly in 2011. “Not right now.”
