Top 70s Bands

The biggest music influences from top 70s bands played a big role in album sales. There are many musicians today that looked up to these bands from the 70s. We have compiled a list of the top 5 artists of all time.

1. The Beatles - The Revolver album has one of the biggest sales of all time. Revolver sold more than a billion copies worldwide. No other top 70s bands had a greater influence on the course of rock music.

2. Pink Floyd - At the vanguard of the Progressive Rock movement, they have sold more than 200-million albums since 1967. They were one of the first bands to use light shows and fireworks in their live performances. Their best album is “Wish You Were Here.”

3. The Who - They are one of the first and most successful trios in rock history. The Who were innovative both musically and technically than the other bands. They tried difference techniques in different songs in the Album “Who’s Next.”

4. Rolling Stones - They are the original “bad boys” of rock. The Stones are among the most durable bands in history. They have been recording and touring with few breaks since they began in 1961.

5. Led Zeppelin - Their “Stairway To Heaven” is believed to have received more radio airplay than any other song in history. In fact, they are the only band that never released such a popular song as a single. Unlike other bands, they named their albums in numeric order. Their best is “Led Zeppelin IV.”
