Valerie Harper is being sued by Playwright Matthew Lombardo and the Broadway producers of ‘Looped’ for failing to disclose her illness to them.

Lombardo and the producers urged Harper to see a doctor, and it was during that visit that she discovered her lung cancer had spread to her brain. However, Harper never told them about her health.

She was forced to pull out of the show due to her health issues, and according to the lawsuit, she left Lombardo scrambling to find a suitable replacement. At the time, Harper was given just months to live.

Lombardo claims the inconvenience cost him $500,000. He also wants an additional $1.5 million to punish Harper.

Lombardo filed his lawsuit in response to one filed by Harper, in which she claims Lombardo failed to pay the remainder of her contract despite her illness.

It was previously reported that Valerie is shocked she’s still alive!

The actress, 74, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer brain cancer more than a year ago — and told she had as little as three months to live!

“But Valerie is still very much here,” a source told the National Enquirer.

“She’s eternally grateful to her doctors for keeping her alive this long, but feels a bit embarrassed that she did numerous TV interviews saying she was dying.”

Valerie told pals she went public with the news only because she thought she’d be dead within weeks.

“She doesn’t want people to think she’s a fraud, or made her illness worse than it is,” explained the friend.

“When people come up to her and say, ‘Hey I thought you had only three months to live,’ she immediately quips, ‘It’s my doctor’s fault!’”
