Has Your Phone Been Hacked? Here’s How To Tell

Has your phone been hacked? Getting hacked can happen to anyone and it’s important to know if your phone has been compromised. There are a few things you can check.

Request your cell-phone records and double-check each of your outgoing calls and data transfers. You want to be sure that you are not making calls or transferring data that you are not aware of. This could be a sign that your number has been hacked.

Take your phone to your cell-phone provider and ask the company to run a diagnostic test on it. This will check it for bugs and viruses that could be on your mobile device. You will also want to type your cell number into a search engine and see whether it comes up.

Call your cell-phone number from another location to see if someone else picks up. Hackers are known to use the number once they hijack the device. If someone does answer, call your wireless carrier immediately.

Check your credit report to make sure no one has used your personal information. The information can be used to open up credit card and loan accounts. You can order your report online for free.
