American Idol dirt is on contestant David. Before appearing on American Idol, David was once an exotic dancer in a strip club in Phoenix.

The American Idol 24-year-old finalist from Arizona once worked at Dick's Cabaret, as a stripper appearing completely nude and performing lap dances for the club's "mostly male" visitors according to the Club Manager Gordy Bryan. "He had the look and the type that people like, so he made pretty good money here," Bryan said.

It's not been said if Hernandez's past as a stripper could disqualify him from the competition. However, in 2003, finalist Frenchie Davis was dismissed on account of her appearance on an adult Web site. Remember in 2007 Antonella Barba remained in the competition after some revealing photos of her surfaced on the Internet.

According to the Club Manager, Hernandez steadily worked at the club for three years until September 30, 2007.

The rumors about Hernandez's past along with revealing photos of him while working as a bartender at gay nightclub, Burn, were first formally posted last week on the Internet.

The photos and content were set to encourage "Idol" viewers to vote for the bad and truly entertaining contestants. As soon people in Arizona saw the photos, they responded with, "Yeah, he's a stripper in Phoenix."
