Cannabis Diabetics Treatment Without High

Scientists have made a cannabis plant without the high effect. Most people are scratching their heads and wondering what purpose the artificial cannabis could be minus the main ingredient.

The group of Israeli scientists felt it was important to lesson the effects of the cannabis element, tetrahydrocannabinol or THC that makes smokers feel relaxed. However, their goal was to increase the effect of cannabidiol or CBD, which has been revealed in studies to benefit diabetics, and people with psychiatric disorders.

The AFP quoted Tzahi Klein, the head of development at Tikkun Olam, where the cannabis plant was grown — as saying: “It has the same scent, shape and taste as the original plant — it’s all the same — but the numbing sensation that users are accustomed to has disappeared.”

“Many of our patients who tried the new plant come back to us and say: ‘You tricked me,’” because they assumed they had been given a placebo, he said.

In addition, this cannabis plant will not leave the patients with a cause of the munchies. While this new plant will probably make a huge difference in the U.S., it will likely have little effect in Israeli as they allow people to use marijuana for medical purposes.
