Product Recall For Ian’s Slimming Capsules Due to Sibutramine

Slimming Capsules made by Ian’s is only one of the product recalls at the moment. The supplement contains an undeclared drug ingredient called Sibutramine.

The Food and Drug Administration says the product poses a threat to consumers because Sibutramine is known to substantially increase blood pressure, pulse rate or both in some patients and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or stroke.

No illnesses or injuries have been reported. The product was sold nationwide on the Internet. Details: Call Shaping Beauty at 800-728-2850.

Some 492 8-ounce boxes of Ian’s Natural Foods wheat free, gluten free mac and no cheese and wheat free, gluten free French bread pizza because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

The mac-no-cheese has a use by date of 26 Aug 2011 and UPC 7-49512-43670-8. The pizza has a use-by date of 28Aug2011and UPC 7-49512-91572-2. The company says no other packages are effected, according to the FindLaw.com website.
