Hillary Clinton will be recognized at the Democratic National Convention.

Democrats will honor Hillary Clinton by placing her into nomination at the Democratic National Convention.

In an effort to rally Democrats before the National Convention, Hillary Rodham Clinton's name will be placed into nomination.

The announcement ends speculation on what role Senator Clinton will play at the convention.

Clinton seeks to be recognized by her historic achievement as the first female candidate to come close to winning her party's nomination for the presidency. She released a statement blessing the arrangement to ensure "that the voices of all 35 million people who participated in this historic primary election are respected."

"With every voice heard and the party strongly united, we will elect Sen. Obama president of the United States and put our nation on the path to peace and prosperity once again," Clinton said in the statement.

Meanwhile, the Obama campaign released a new television ad to be aired next week during the Olympics. The ad promotes a plan to create new jobs.

John McCain attended a fundraiser at the Aspen Institute in Colorado. He talked at length about the Georgia situation. He stated that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is "bent on reasserting Russian influence in the region and perhaps the world." Comparing the situation to the Cuban Missile Crisis.
