Amazon has released a new application for the Apple iPhone and the iPod Touch called Amazon Mobile. The application simplifies the search experience for products found not just on Amazon, but also on partner retailers Target and Macy's.

Amazon.com Inc on Wednesday released a new app from Apple Inc's iTunes store called "Amazon Mobile." The mobile application runs on the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Amazon Mobile allows users to search and browse for products offered by the online retailer and its partners including Target and Macy's. Customer reviews can be viewed using the app, and transactions can be completed using Amazon.com's "1-Click Shopping" and through the "Amazon Prime" premium shipping service.

The iPhone app also provides access to your existing cart, wish lists, payment and shipping options, order history, one-click settings, and Amazon Prime benefits.

Amazon also released an experimental app called "Amazon Remembers." The application lets you snap a photo of a product to remember later. In addition, the app will try to find the product in Amazon's catalog.
