A 105-year-old woman who loves to eat bacon every day has encouraged others to indulge in the tasty food. Oscar Mayer recognized Pearl Cantrell by taking her out for a ride in their “Wienermobile” in Richland Springs, Texas.

“I love bacon. I could eat it for every meal, and I do!” she said and encouraged others to do the same. “I want other people to eat bacon, I tell them too. My kids all eat it,” Cantrell said.

Meat and cold cut company Oscar Mayer took an interest in the centenarian’s love of bacon.

“We’ve seen a lot of stories on the road, but nothing quite like this one, so we’re excited to be here. We know she’s an inspiration. Pearl is an inspiration for the community, and her friends and family. So we had to make a special stop here for her today”, said Abraham Luna, “hotdogger” for Oscar Mayer.

“I will never, ever forget this, for the rest of my life,” Cantrell said after she got to ride “shot-bun” around her hometown.

Then employees gave a gift of bacon, and Oscar Mayer says they plan to ship Cantrell more bacon in the future.
