Bride Texting Down The Aisle – There was one wedding where the bride to be continued with texting down the wedding aisle with her father to the altar. Welcome to the digital age of Facebook and Twitter. It’s almost impossible to put down any cell phone these days.
It seems as though very few things are sacred anymore. In fact, people use their mobile gadgets in movie theaters, classrooms and even while driving. Can people actually give up their portable device long enough to be married?
One woman couldn’t wait long enough and was caught texting on her cell phone. This time is happened during her own wedding. After making her way down the aisle before the altar with her father, the California woman paused, pulled a cell phone out from the top of her dress, and began to type under her veil.
She used one hand to do the texting as the other held her father’s hand.
“This is part of a wedding video I shot in August 2008 at the Mission Beach Women’s Club in San Diego, CA,” videographer James Costa wrote on his YouTube page. “It was otherwise perfectly normal except for this one funny clip of the bride texting just after her dad walked her down the aisle!”
“At one point, I noticed her doing it through my lens and I had to pull away form the camera to make certain I was seeing what I thought I was seeing,” Costa wrote. The preacher can be heard in the background beginning the ceremony. The bride’s back was to her guests, but Costa caught the moment on camera.
“The minister was busy reading his opening comments and her back was to everyone in attendance,” Costa wrote. “I was the only one to see her. Her dad glanced over at her and then saw me doing a double take and began to laugh out loud!”
