Elderly PA Couple Marijuana. A five-pound brick of marijuana was sent to an elderly couple in Pennsylvania. They never seen anything like it before and immediately called the police.Upper Darby Police say the couple were the unintended recipients of the five-pound brick of marijuana that was wrapped in a cardboard box.
The police say the couple paid little attention to the package when it was delivered last week. Not recognizing the name, they left it on their porch, expecting it’d be picked up. It sat there for days.
However, no one came to claim the package. When they finally opened it, they were surprised. Police say it was $10,000 in high-grade pot.
Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said the couple dropped off the misaddressed marijuana to police, who determined the return address in Tolleson, Ariz. was fake.
Chitwood says the department sees about a half-dozen similar deliveries a year and can sometimes track down the sender.
