God told one woman, Melissa Miller, the permission to drive 100 mph, according to the police report. She told the Fort Pierce, Florida cops that the Lord was her spirit guide.
Miller was also banging on the car horn long and hard because of “the Lord telling me to do it.”
The arresting officers didn’t need the Lord to tell them what to do because while she was driving 100 mph and slamming on her horn, the speed limit was only 30 mph, which either results in a huge fine or arrest.
Police took the jail approach and arrested Miller, placing her in the St. Lucie County jail with a $375 bail.
In addition to reckless driving, she was charged with violation of her probation for leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
The bail may be a lot, but surely the Lord will provide.
Stranger things have happened, but police said this was a new one for the record.
