A mother in New York has filed a $900 trillion lawsuit against the Big Apple after her children were taken away and placed into foster care 3 years ago, and as ironic as the case might be, she might actually be in the right, according to friends that know her.

Mother Files $900 Trillion Lawsuit

The 46-year-old mother, Fausat Ogunbayo from Staten Island, filed the $900 trillion lawsuit against New York City and the Administration for Children’s Services because she says they violated her and her sons civil rights by removing them from their home. She claims they have suffered “over three years of terror, horror, grievous harm, time lost, substantial economic hardship and injuries,” according to a report by the Staten Island Advance.

The boys who are now 16 and 13-years-old were removed from the home because according to the city Ogunbayo, “recklessly disregarded” her “right to family integrity.” Adding that Ogunbayo was mentally unstable and refused treatment. Ogunbayo called it a “huge lie.”

In Appellate court the neglect charge was dismissed on grounds of a lack of evidence the boys where being neglected. The boys had up to date shot records, were in fine health, had perfect attendance in school and were excelling academically.

However the boys remain in foster care due to a petition in Family Court.

Now Ogunbayo feels that she is owed $900 trillion for the fact the city continues to keep her children away.

“It’s hard to even take it seriously,” says a spokesperson for the city Law Department. “There may be a case, which is for a court of law to decide, but that’s a made-up number.”
