A Connecticut based company has created something special for tanning fans, modeled after 44-year-old mom Patricia Krentcil, an action doll figure that features heavy blonde hair and a bronze-leather face.
The doll of the obviously tan addicted mother is going for $29.95 from the HeroBuilders Web site and features a darkened orange complexion with burned yellow hair.
The president of HeroBuilders.com, Emil Vicale says they created the doll because everyone has a friend who likes to tan too much.
“We thought it was a funny thing to do,” Vicale said.
Krentcil pled ‘not guilty’ of the child endangerment charges in a New Jersey court last week after her daughter started complaining of pain from a burn and then revealed she was with her mother at a tanning salon.
The 44-year-old mom has since claimed that her daughter was never in a tanning bed or booth.
“I tan, she doesn’t tan,” she said. “I’m in the booth, she’s in the room. That’s all there is to it.”
Rich Krentcil, the girls father, has since defended Patricia by saying the entire thing was a misunderstanding between the teacher and the 5-year-old.
“This whole big thing happened, and everyone got involved,” he said. “It was 85 degrees outside, she got sunburned. That’s it. That’s all that happened.”
