Chuck Grassley cunningly calls President Barak Obama “stupid” on Twitter. The current ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee started using name calling during his recent comments about the heath care case being reviewed by the Supreme Court.
The 78-year-old Senator from Iowa, serving since 1981, used a unique style of writing that he often utilizes on Twitter, and tweeted this message Saturday: “Constituents askd why i am not outraged at PresO attack on supreme court independence. Bcause Am ppl r not stupid as this x prof of con law.”
The last line translates: “Because American people are not stupid as this ex-professor of constitutional law.”
Last week, Obama, the former law school teacher stated that he expects the Supreme Court to uphold the health care law.
Grassley deals with Supreme Court issues, as the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
David Axelrod, 57, the Senior Advisor to Obama came back at Grassley on Twitter by mocking his abbreviated symbolic writing method.
“Heads up, Sen. Grassley,” Axelrod wrote. “I think a 6-year-old hijacked your account and is sending out foolish tweets just to embarrass you!”
Grassley previously served in the United States House of Representatives from 1975-1981 and the Iowa state legislature from 1959-1974. In addition, he served as the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee in 2001 and 2003 through 2006. Currently, Grassley is the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee thus he deals with Supreme Court issues.
