Mo Brooks tells presidential hopeful that she could be impeached on her first day as President. Hillary Clinton could face troubled times because the Republican said that he thought her exclusive use of a private email account as secretary of state violated all rules of law, according to The Huffington Post.

Mo Brooks said that the laws “are designed to protect America’s top-secret and classified information from falling into the hands of our geopolitical foes who then might use that information to result in the deaths of Americans.” Hillary Clinton, if she is elected, would become a unique president because the day she’s “sworn in is the day that she’s subject to impeachment,” he said.

The Huntsville Republican reiterated those comments in a later interview with The Hill. Mo said that Hillary’s improper handling of emails means she would be “subject to impeachment,” meaning it would be up to the House and Senate to decide if it wanted to move ahead with removing her from office.

Mo Brooks’ comments about Hillary Clinton were in reference to the ongoing controversy over her use of a personal email server while she was Secretary of State. The FBI is currently investigating the email server.

“I don’t know, off hand, whether her commission of these offenses is a legal barrier to running for president. But if Congress should so choose, it would be a legal basis for her removal from office,” Brooks said. “Why do you think Joe Biden is thinking about running for president?” Mo added. “To a large degree, he’s waiting to see if Hillary Clinton gets arrested or indicted.”

Hillary Clinton is scheduled to appear Thursday before the House Select Committee on Benghazi, where she will likely face questions related to her email. Rep. Martha Roby, R-Montgomery, is a member of that committee. She is currently the Democratic front runner though she has seen her numbers dip in recent weeks, due partly to the email scandal.

Mo Brooks says Hillary Clinton is being treated differently. Mo says if anyone at Redstone Arsenal was working with classified documents and did what Hillary did, “They would be fired on the spot and subject to criminal prosecution.” He says the media is downplaying the situation by talking about this in terms of emails.

“It’s not about emails, it’s not about an email server. It’s about national security and classified documents, secret and top secret, that are supposed to be protected and held in ways that minimize the risk that our geopolitical foes can get their hands on,” he said.

Political Testimony

He also implied it’s not uncommon for political camps to divert the public’s attention away from what’s really going on.

“It’s much like Bill Clinton in the 1990’s, where he and the news media were able to portray his act as all about sex, when it was really about felony of perjury and obstruction of justice.”

While Mo Brooks is talking about Hillary Clinton, he’s been known to be very vocal when it comes to protecting his country. That’s why he says he felt the need to explain to all Americans, how serious the classified document scandal surrounding Democratic front-runner really is.
