A terrorist group linked to Al-Qaeda has offered camels and chickens for information leading to the whereabouts of President Barrak Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The group of Somali militants made the offer in response to the United States announcing rewards of $3 to $7 million for information on the whereabouts of various militant commanders.
Fuad Muhammad Khalaf of the Shabab al-Mujahideen Movement in Somalia made a counter offer by saying, “Whoever reveals the hideout of the idiot Obama will be rewarded with 10 camels, and whoever reveals the hideout of the old woman Hillary Clinton will be rewarded 10 chickens and 10 roosters.”
Though there was no responses from Obama or Clinton on Khalaf offer, one top U.S. aid, Johnnie Carson, the assistant secretary of state for African affairs said: “The question is so absurd it does not deserve a response.”
As of this year the outfit dominates extensive borders of the southern parts of the country, where it is known to have inflict its own form of strict Sharia law.
Though the Somalian militant group still controls the country, Carson had announced on his trip to Mogadishu, there had been “significant progress” made against al-Shabab.
He added that, the United States would also impose sanctions on anyone standing in the way of the political process now under way. “The kind of action we must take against spoilers range from visa sanctions to travel sanctions to asset freezes,” Carson said.
Al-Shabaab describes itself as waging jihad against “enemies of Islam”, and is engaged in combat against the Transitional Federal Government and the African Union Mission to Somalia.
