Sarah Palin criticizes Arizona officials and school over boycott. Palin says the boycott is not a way to secure borders. She’s not alone, and it’s about the state’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.
Officials Hunker Down
“You have a bunch of childish, immature, liberal little adults running this school who care more about what people think of them, and what they think of each other than they do about any kid anywhere,” Rush Limbaugh told listeners. School officials hunkered down, refusing to debate, and canceled their basketball trip. The kids worked all year on this tournament and now the school stages a boycott.
Political Boycott
“An economic and political boycott of one of our sister states is not a way to secure our borders,” the former Alaska governor said in a statement. She is also urging the basketball players to, “go rogue, girls.” Whoopie Goldberg also agrees and told “The View” audience, “Shouldn’t they have had this conversation with the parents first before they just canceled it?”
Arizona Immigration Law
The kids are caught up in a political debate over the state’s new immigration law. The mainstream media are reporting on the naysayers and not the people who agree with it. Law or not, punishment shouldn’t be taken out on a girl’s High School basketball team.
