Pro-wrestler turned action star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has decided to sell his massive Hollywood Hills, California estate for $4.9 million, which is already in escrow to a potential buyer.
The celebrity news website says that an unidentified businessman has purchased the 9,120 square foot, six-bedroom, seven bath mansion and the closing is scheduled to happen shortly.
In addition, the home over looking the California mountains, presents a state-of-the-art movie theater, remarkable two-story gallery entry, and a shiny gourmet kitchen.
There was no reason given as to why Johnson was selling the home, though it would not appear to be over financial woes, as The Rock has been quite busy lately making several movies and getting a nice payday for returning to the WWE for a short stint culminating in a match against John Cena at Wrestlemania 28.
He stars in the sometime upcoming “G.I. Joe” sequel, that has now had its release postponed, and is currently filming a Michael Bay movie with Mark Wahlberg called “Pain and Gain.” He will also be reprising his role as Diplomatic Security Service agent, Luke Hobbs in the next two installments of the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
Back to “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” the movie which has The Rock taking over the lead role, was due to hit theaters on June 29th as several trailers indicated. However, recently Paramount decided to pull the film back and convert it to a 3-D movie after seeing the recent success of other 3-D movies have had internationally. The new release date is set for March of 2013.
