Comedian actor Jim Carrey has put his Malibu home up for sale, but with an asking price that some experts think is too much.

The large ocean-front home contains five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, maid’s quarters, and a roof top deck with a hot tub all in a paparazzi-free gated community. And it has been listed at ”priced for immediate sale” price of $13.95 million dollars.

The 50-year-old Carrey bought the home in 2002 for only $9.75 million and in today’s market, Real Estate experts say that is where the market value of the home is today, and it will be tuff to sell home at a price over $4 million more than it should be.

But apparently the actor doesn’t care. The house is currently empty with him living in another property in Brentwood, California. He is also said to be looking into buying a home in New York, where he has an art studio.

He said: ”I paint a lot and this is a huge passion for me. So when I’m not acting, I wake up every morning, have my coffee, and I pick up a paint brush.

”I have a studio in New York. I’ve leaked out a couple of little things here and there.

”I have a painting I’m doing. I can’t wait to get back because I have around five more days work on it. It’s 16ft tall and 12ft wide, and it’s a black light painting. It’s viewable in the daylight, but when you turn the black lights on it lights up, and people come out of the dark.”
