New Yorks Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie now has 10 kids from 8 different women throughout 6 states, but now producers of a reality show asked him to air his intriguing story. Unfortunately, he nixed the idea of putting his kids on a show like that. Moreover, Cromartie has played in the NFL since 2006 and signed a 4 year contract last year with the Jets worth $32 million.
The recently turned 28-year-old also needed to ask for a $500,000 advance on his salary in 2010 in order to catch up on outstanding child support payments to some of the women he has fathered children with.
Even with the extra financial flexibility a reality show would bring in to help make all those payments, Cromartie turned the reality show idea down.
Cromartie is currently married to, Terricka Cason, the mother of his most recent child born this month who he also has a daughter with, which was born in 2010. Carson once starred on a short lived E! network reality show called ‘Candy Girls’ which centered around the Bella talent agency looking for work for female models.
The producers that proposed the reality show idea to Cromartie said it would be based on all the children and mothers, “trying to co-exist as a modern family.”
Even though Cromartie himself turned it down that was not the sentiment of most of the single mothers of his children who could use the money. “I love it,” Ryan Ross, mother to 4-year-old Tyler Jae Cromartie, said of the proposed TV show. “Our kids need to know who their siblings are. It’s bigger than our past with Antonio. It’s about our children.”
Cromartie’s children live in, California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and New Jersey.
