Arthur Blank, Atlanta Falcons owner, has received divorce papers after being separated from his wife, Stephanie, for over a year. The 70-year-old billionaire co-founder of Home Depot and his wife of 16 years are calling it quits, according to documents filed in Fulton County, Georgia.
Stephanie claims the union has been “irretrievably broken” … but the good news — the two have already hammered out a settlement that covers money, custody and property, TMZ reports.
The divorce papers claim that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” but the parties have privately agreed to the details of their official break. So, it may never be revealed just how much of his money she will receive.
Reportedly, the couple has already drafted a “comprehensive parenting plan” to ensure that they both are involved in the raising of their three children.
A statement released via The Arthur M.Blank Family Foundation at the time said they would ‘remain great friends’. ”Arthur and Stephanie have decided to separate from their 16-year marriage. They remain great friends and are committed to working together to parent their three wonderful children. They are also both as committed as ever to their philanthropic work and business enterprises in the community. This is a sad and difficult time for Arthur, Stephanie and their family”.
The statement added that the separation would have no effect on Blank’s business enterprises.
