Bengals Cheerleader And High School Teacher Gets Indictment

Sarah Jones, a Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader, also works as a teacher at the Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Kentucky, up until she was indicted for sexual abuse against one of her students.

Jones, who is a team captain on the Bengals cheerleading squad, was indicted on two charges of having sex with the under-age student. She faces first-degree sexual abuse and unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited acts.

The cheerleader’s mother, Cheryl Jones, who is also a principal at a middle school at nearby Independence, was charged in the case for tampering with physical evidence in her daughter’s case.

“Sarah has maintained her innocence,” said the Jones’ lawyer, Charles T. Lester, Jr., who said both women will plead not guilty. “The indictment of her mother is completely baseless.”

Sarah Jones is also involved in a lawsuit against a website,, that claimed she has slept with several Bengals players and has two STD’s.

Jones has been working at the high school for 5 years as a freshman English teacher. She resigned from her teaching position last November when the investigation began of the sexual abuse charges.

If either Sarah or her mother are found guilty on the charges, each one holds a 5 year maximum prison sentence.
