Blake Griffin made a slam dunk for the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 2011 Slam Dunk Champion towered over Kendrick Perkins to impress the crowd during Monday night’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Blake Griffin, 6 ft 10 in, made his most-recent dunk after receiving a pass from Chris Paul; he went straight to the net to swoosh the ball through with his right hand.

This crowd pleaser set the Los Angeles Clippers up with a 21-point lead and set them up mentally to break the Thunder’s winning streak. Paul played a huge part in the team’s victory with 26 points, and 14 assists, while Caron Butler and Griffin added an impressive 22 points each.

Kevin Durant, forward with the Oklahoma City Thunder, made a remarkable 36 points and 13 rebounds; Russell Westbrook, point guard, had 31 points yet the Thunder fell to far behind following the first quarter and was unable to recover.

Late in the second quarter, Los Angeles led by seven prior to pulling out four three-pointers in a row, which set them up with a 18 point lead going into halftime.

Oklahoma City could hang with the Clippers in the fourth quarter, but they quickly fell behind as Paul took advantage of the final few minutes and scored eight points in a row.

Blake’s impressive slam dunk is not one that will soon be forgotten.
