Raiders DT Desmond Bryant was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief in Miami.

According to the Miami-Dade Corrections website the 27-year-old NFL player was arrested early-on Sunday morning.

Bryant was booked at 9:24 a.m. ET into Miami-Dade County jail on $1,000 bail, the reports said, citing facility records. There was no further information given about how the arrest came about.

Some publications have been reporting the arrest of Cowboys’ Dez Bryant.

But, the wide receiver and return specialist quickly addressed the rumors via Twitter.

“Ooo (expletive) false rumors about jail?” Dez Bryant tweeted. “Lol I was working out at 2 something in the morning in Dallas tx.”

On Saturday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and coach Jason Garrett credited Bryant for his renewed outlook and level of maturity.

“Dez is in a better place relative to anything that the Cowboys are interested in, which is most everything about him,” Jones said. “He’s in a better place and that’s a positive. … He’s not around the kind of atmosphere or doesn’t have the kind of risks that are involved in his life on or off the field that he had seven, eight months ago.”

“There’s a correlation in the growth and development as a person and the growth and development of the player,” Garrett added. “I think what he’s done more than anything else is just simply mature and it has a lot to do with the approach that he’s taken.”
