Jon Gruden has been named in several rumors lately, about everything from coaching the Oakland Raiders to the Dallas Cowboys, and although it seems laughable that he would give up a comfortable sportscaster job, there might be reason to believe these stories.
The Cowboys need a lot of help and Jerry Jones can be ruthless when he’s desperate. Gruden could become the coach who rebuilds the team, if necessary, to win a Super Bowl. It could be the biggest challenge for any coach.
And that’s one thing about Gruden; he’s up for any challenge on the field. Whether or not he takes the job, if open, is only a matter of time. Right now, it seems coach Jason Garret is staying put in Dallas.
These rumors started after three former members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have also been added to the Cowboys’ coaching staff.
It does seem logical that Gruden will join Dallas, but he has repeatedly denied these coaching rumors for the past two months. Only time will tell.
