Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom speak out about leaving the Dallas Mavericks. It was a shock to see this NBA star depart so early with his career in Dallas, but he’s been depressed since he was traded, and he really didn’t have the time to think about relocating as it happened so fast.
Lamar Odom, the former forward for the Dallas Mavericks is calling his split from the team a mutual decision.
Odom, 32, told ESPN.com, “The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it’s in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team.”
“I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organizations, my team mates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.”
Odom’s wife Khloé Kardashian got a bit emotional about leaving Texas. “I loved Dallas and will miss it!” Kardashian, 27, Tweeted from Los Angeles.
In addition, she is standing behind her man following the news coming out about his decision to departure from the team.
“You deserve so much better,” she stated. “Know your worth and know your skills that have been proven and earned! You showed your strength. I love you.”
Later she responded to negative tweets from fans regarding her earlier tweet to Lamar. She said: “[People] want to assume they know. My last tweet was for me and not for anyone else. I always send out encouraging tweets, but today I get backlash? Odd.”
