Peyton Manning could be the new starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins if the Indianapolis Colts decide to release him.
As speculation continues to swirl over Peyton Manning’s future with the Colts, fans of another NFL team are making their mission known in a big way.
A billboard at Interstate 95 and Interstate 595 in Miami features a picture of No. 18 in a Miami Dolphins jersey and the address ManningToMiami.com.
The website implores fellow Miami fans to “be part of the movement and make history” by signing a petition to help influence Manning and the Miami Dolphins’ top brass.
“How many wins is Manning worth? When’s the last time we the fans have had an ‘impact’ quarterback? What about the most cerebral quarterback of all time?” the site asks. “Get behind this movement and let your vote be your voice and make a difference!”
The website also features a blog with Manning news and T-shirts touting “Manning to Miami” for $12.99.
The Colts owe Manning a $28 million roster bonus by March 8. If Indianapolis doesn’t pay the bonus, Manning becomes an unrestricted free agent.
Colts owner Jim Irsay has said he wants to see Manning stay in a Colts jersey if the quarterback is open to renegotiating his contract.
