A tailgate party turned into a wedding for some Tennessee fans Saturday when they combined nuptials while cooking burgers and hotdogs before the big college game. You might as well get married at this tailgate gathering.

Fall weddings inevitably mean missing out on some football games, but one dedicated couple discovered a way to get married without missing out on a second of the gridiron action.

In just a few hours, Western Kentucky and the Tennessee Volunteers will battle at Neyland Stadium.

Fans have been packed in the parking lot for hours, enjoying the company of one another as they count down the hours until they can see their Vols take the field.

Most of them were also unknowingly guests at a pre-game wedding which just so happened to take part in the parking lot while everybody was tailgating.

However, before the Tennessee Volunteers kicked off at Neyland Stadium this afternoon, the couple opted to combine their love of football with their wedding plans by having their ceremony during their tailgate. The newlyweds even got the wedding present they were presumably hoping for as the Vols went on to beat Western Kentucky, 52-20.
