Ufc 137 Results – The results are in, and it’s been a long, hard road for both Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz leading up to UFC 137 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Diaz, who was set to fight the current UFC welterweight champion, St-Pierre, was dropped from the championship bout after blowing off two mandatory press conferences. UFC president Dana White went on to add Diaz back to the fight card but this time against B.J. Penn.
St-Pierre later went down with a knee injury that would keep him out of UFC 137 with a return set for early 2012. And, after Diaz displayed one of the best performances of the year, he went to national pay-per-view television to address St-Pierre’s injury.
“I think Georges is scared to fight.”
St-Pierre, who was present for Diaz’s dominance over Penn seemed to have graciously accept Diaz’s remarks. That was, however, until he continued.
When Diaz was finished, the live camera turned its attention to St-Pierre who was now on his feet.
St-Pierre was in unusual form giving Diaz the “bring it” sign as the Vegas crowed let out a loud cheer.
At the post-fight press conference, White went on to release that he would be dropping Carlos Condit from the title fight in early 2012 and adding Diaz.
So, there we have it: Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz for the welterweight championship of the world.
