The U.S. Women’s Soccer team hitches a ride with some of its fans after the bus broke down. They had been training at the Citrus Bowl ahead of their match against Brazil on Sunday, but instead of waiting for the bus, they went on a road trip.

Sydney Leroux and Alex Morgan were in one car while Hope Solo, Abby Wambach and Carli Lloyd hitched a ride in another car.

One of the fans tweeted that it was the best day of her life. Wambach responded by thanking the young fan and hoping to return the favor.

During the game, Leroux scored twice in the first half as the U.S. women’s soccer team completed its sixth undefeated year with a 4-1 win over Brazil.

Wambach also scored in the first half and Erika Tymrak added the other goal for the United States.

The Americans finished the year with 13 wins and three draws. It also pushed their unbeaten streak to 38 games and 76 at home.

“Huge!” Wambach said. “Obviously you get that first goal, and you have momentum. And then I think we got the penalty within a couple minutes after that. That’s demoralizing from the opposing team’s standpoint.”

This was the final match of 2013 for the U.S. as it sealed an undefeated 2013.

The bus was finally fixed and met up with the girls at the stadium.
