Girl's Life Magazine Features Taylor Swift On Front Cover To Discuss Love Rules, Priorities, Valentine's Day, and Advice on Dating

Swift can be seen on the magazine cover in the February 2010 issue. The 20-year-old entertainer opened up is the issue about her love life. She shared about what she learned from her past breakups.

%u201CHowever hard and painful they are, you will learn something from (a breakup). That is the most contrived, you've-heard-it-million times lesson, but I really do feel like everything is put in your life to teach you something -- even if it's terrible and hard.%u201D

Taylor also said she doesn't look for a boyfriend, "I feel like that is no pressure on me right now to find that great love. I can get to know people without some ulterior motive" she said. One thing I noticed about the article is how mature she is.

Taylor Swift Offers Number One Priority

Love for Swift isn't priority number one. However, her number one rule is to love being single. Despite co-starring in the upcoming film "Valentine's Day," she is not that traditional.

"I typically don't ever have a boyfriend on Valentine's Day. I see it as an opportunity to just hang out with my other single girlfriends," she said. "Being single is something that I have never looked at as being a curse. It's that time for you to figure out what you like and how you like to spend time by yourself. That's a gift."

Swift makes a lot of sense. Taylor also shares advice on what to do after a break up. She believes that ending all communication is the best thing to do.

"Don't answer his e-mails especially after a relationship is over. I'm a big fan of just cutting it off because I know myself and I'm not the kind of person who can just be buddy-buddy with a guy after we break up, especially if it was a bad breakup. I'm not into letting it linger and drag on forever."
