Princess Diana spoke to rescuers before she died

As she lay dying in the crashed Mercedes, rescuers say Princess Diana spoke to them.

Moments after the Mercedes crashed, two brothers told the inquest that Princess Diana repeated the words, "oh my God, oh my God" to them during a rescue attempt.

The two witnesses, Damian Dalby and his brother, Sebastian Pennequin, rushed to help the victims immediately after the crash. As they approached, they heard someone saying, "oh my God" and realized it was Diana.

Dalby is a volunteer fireman and said when he first saw the wreckage; there were people all around it taking photographs of Diana and the passengers. As Dalby walked up to help Diana, the paparazzi made room for him and were not in the way.

Princess Diana was laying in the backseat of the vehicle with the passenger door open. Dalby said that smoke was everywhere and made an attempt to disconnect the battery, but couldn't reach it.

The London inquest also heard from other witnesses who said photographers were shouting, "she's a live" to other colleagues.
