Comcast email users are experiencing the dreadful error code 400 when signing in to network services. The cable provider has issued no statement concerning the reason for the downtime.
Comcast Corp is having trouble over the weekend which is affecting its users. Users are prompted with an error code 400 when signing into network services. The code indicates that the company's email services are down.
"I've been trying to get my email since early this morning," Comcast user Luke Diamond said. "We have no idea if this was some planned maintenance or if Comcast is going through a problem. Customer service wasn't helpful at all," Diamond said.
Comcast email problems prompt error code 400 which indicates the network is down. The cable provider did not offer any official reason for the downtime.
The problems indicate services for electronic mail are down. However, some users said their access to the high-speed Internet was also causing problems. However, we haven't been able to verify this.
Even so, there has been no official statement on the Comcast Website or any other site owned by the company. The error code is only a number which isn't specific enough to identify the problem. We could determine that Code 400 had something to do with email services.
"If you are having trouble logging into email, please try again later. Sorry for the inconvenience," Comcast said on its Website, posted Saturday afternoon.
Other providers which offer high-speed Internet and email usually provide user-friendly errors. For example, if Web email is down with Brighthouse, the system will display something similar to "Email services are currently unavailable" with an error Code. The error code is usually given to customer service or their support department to track down.
Unfortunately, Comcast has been no help even when users provide the error Code. One customer representative told a customer, "the error means that our network is down" but did not provide information on when services will be available. This only adds to the frustration.
Our advice is to let the cable provider work on the issue. You might not get email today, but at least you have the Internet.
