Google search results can now be more effective than ever before. The company has added new refinements to its algorithm technology which can help guide users to more relevant queries.

Google Inc has rolled out some new improvements on how search results are displayed. The company added two new tools to help guide users to find information for more effective based queries. The two new features will help users locate relevant results based on their search terms.

"The first offers an expanded list of useful related searches and the second is the addition of longer search result descriptions -- both of which help guide users more effectively to the information they need," Google officials said in a statement.

The goal for Google is to serve better results by refining the way a user conducts a search. While most search engines use simple algorithms to return searches based on single words, Google will now match multiple words and in an effort to guess what the user is really trying to say. The technology checks for the meaning of the words and expands upon other related terms.

Google will now display relevant search results with new related terms based on queries.

For example, if a user searches for [principles of physics], Google will understand that "angular momentum," "special relativity," "big bang" and "quantum mechanic" are related terms that could help Internet users find what they need.

I don't know how many times I've searched for something only to find out that I was using the wrong term or word. The other day I was searching "ways to optimize a Web site" only to find out, I was looking for the wrong term. The correct term was "Search Engine Optimization" or "SEO" which I had no idea.

The new refinements and list of relevant suggestions will help guide users to more effective queries.

Google search results will now offer the other suggestions, similar to my example shown above, in an effort to list related terms. It will try to offer these suggestions based on new refinements in the algorithm technology will make Google more user friendly. It will try to target similar matches, whether the snippets are long or short.

"When you enter a longer query, with more than three words, regular-length snippets may not give you enough information and context. In these situations, we now increase the number of lines in the snippet to provide more information and show more of the words you typed in the context of the page."
