After a supposedly ‘leaked photo’ of the Samsung Galaxy S3 by an employee, rumors are heating up about the release date and specs of the smartphone, which runs the Android operating system.
According to the Digital Daily, a Korean news site, the new cell phone will sport a new 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, which is slightly larger than the 4.27 inch display from the previous version.
The resolution will also be higher at 1280×720.
Another site called, Boy Genius is claiming it has information suggesting, that the new smartphone will be running a 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor. Also they are suggesting the same display specs as Digital Daily.
Though there has been no specific word on a set release date by Samsung, JK Shin, the head of “Samsung Mobile Communications”, announced in May 2011 that a Samsung Galaxy S3 is planned for release sometime in 2012. Previous rumors suggest a May release with others suggesting it will be more near the end of the summer.
Other rumors suggest that it will come with a 8 megapixel main camera with LED and Xenon flash capable of taking 60fps HD video, with a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. Also it will come in 32GB and 64GB memory models.
