T-Mobile wireless phones now offer the Yahoo search engine. The Internet search engine has started running on the mobile phones as of Thursday. The wireless version of Yahoo is called oneSearch.

T-Mobile USA Inc and Yahoo Inc on Thursday announced a new search engine platform to run on wireless phones. T-Mobile phones now have Yahoo search set by default. Yahoo will reach 105 million wireless subscribers in the United States.
Yahoo started serving T-Mobile customers in 10 European countries this year. The two companies share advertising search revenue. T-Mobile is a unit of Germany's Deutsche Telekom AG.
The announcement came hours after Microsoft Corp CEO Steve Ballmer said he has no interest in purchasing Yahoo. Ballmer made a statement that he is only interested in an advertising search deal with the Internet search company. Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang announced on Monday that he will exit from the company.
T-Mobile offers the complete oneSearch application by Yahoo. The application is a wireless version of the Yahoo search engine.
Yahoo shares rose 6.7 percent after the morning announcement was made. T-Mobile shares are up 15 cents to $13.44.
