Tacoma man runs into bad luck when the bandit was finally arrested after running out of gas, following a chase on foot.
Bad luck bandit arrested after he runs out of gas. A Tacoma man, known as the bad luck bandit, was arrested and charged with first-degree theft. Talk about bad luck, and the bandit gets arrested with an empty tank gas tank.
The 47-year-old has now been dubbed the bad luck bandit. He was arrested by Wenatchee police after he allegedly stole Native American collectibles from a store. After the police were alerted by the store owner, they found the man on foot.
His car stalled only 50 feet from where he parked it. "The man is suspected of stealing several Indian collectibles from the Discount Center," Sgt. John Kruse said in a statement. This was not the bandits first theft. "He was also in possession of several necklaces stolen from the Antique Mall - and is suspected of stealing a beaded Native American ceremonial garment bearing a price tag of $10,500," Kruse said.
He is currently booked into jail for the theft of the Native American Collectibles. He has not posted bond. Further charges may be coming further in the investigation progresses.
