Juggalos Considered A Gang

Juggalos Gang – Yeah, the Juggalos are a little scary, especially when they gather in large groups. but who knew the U.S. government considered them an actual gang?

Juggalos is a name given to fans of the band Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records hip hop group. Juggalos have developed their own idioms, slang, and characteristics

In the National Gang Intelligence Center’s “National Gang Assessment,” the Juggalos were named a hybrid gang to watch out for. Here’s what the assessment said about the ICP-loving group:

“The Juggalos, a loosely-organized hybrid gang, are rapidly expanding into many US communities. Although recognized as a gang in only four states, many Juggalos subsets exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity and violence law enforcement officials in at least 21 states have identified criminal Juggalo sub-sets, according to NGiC reporting.

“Although law enforcement officials in Arizona, California, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Washington report the most Juggalo gang-related criminal activity, Juggalos are present in Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Mexico, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia, according to NGiC reporting.”

There have been several incidents of criminal activity attributed to self-identified Juggalos. Some media outlets have attributed the incidents to the music produced by Psychopathic Records. Although Juggalos have denied any connection to gang activity, authorities have classified them as a gang in Utah, Arizona, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, and Modesto, California. Because of this, some schools have prohibited students from wearing Insane Clown Posse related paraphernalia.
