Man wins big casino, fatal robbery at Hawaiian Gardens. A 55-year-old man who won big at a Southern California casino was robbed and killed. The man was being followed after winning at the Hawaiian Gardens casino.

“The 55-year-old man won several thousand dollars at the Hawaiian Gardens Casino early Friday and was heading home with a woman when a car cut him off in Santa Ana, stated Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna. The winner and driver of the other vehicle got into a fight after the suspect demanded the winnings and the victim went down. As the victim attempted to flee on foot, the robber ran him over.

Police are unclear about how much money was taken. The victim, Chi Ngoc Bui was visiting from of Westminster. The female passenger, who alerted police by screaming for help, was not injured. At the scene of the robbery/accident, officers recovered a knife and dozens of $20 bills that had fallen onto the pavement. It is unknown if the female witness can identify the murderer.
