Thanks to a good citizen two missing boys have been located in Texas with their father.
Henry Cleary, 7, and Ben Cleary, 9, of Roswell, Ga. were reported missing on Thursday by their mother after their father did not return them after their Christmas visit.
On Saturday, December 29, the young boys were found unharmed in a hotel, in their father’s custody.
Daniel Cleary, of Roswell, was supposed to have returned his sons to their home on Wednesday, and when he didn’t an Amber Alert was issued.
Austin police said a citizen had recognized the boys from the alert and notified police at 5:11 p.m. CDT that they were at a hotel.
Officers “observed the suspect and the two boys, and recovered the two boys and took the suspect into custody,” Austin police Lt. James Nisula.
Roswell Police Lt. James H. McGee said that the 46-year-old Daniel Cleary was taken into custody Saturday evening in Austin, Texas.
“We have recovered the kids,” McGee told The Associated Press. “They were with him and they were OK.”
After speaking to her boys on the phone, Theresa Nash, the children’s mother, was on her way to get them from authorities.
She told FOX 5 Atlanta they were “battling each other on their iPads and planning Henry’s birthday party.”
