NASA Sets Launch Date for Endeavour

NASA has scheduled Endeavour to launch on November 14. The date was changed due to last week’s postponement of the Atlantis launch.

Endeavour was being prepared for a rescue flight if Atlantis sustained damage on its Hubble servicing mission. However, the crew has now turned their attention to Endeavour’s trip to the International Space Station.

The launch is set for 7:55 PM November 14 at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Endeavour will land at 2:15 PM on November 29.

NASA has started preparations to move Endeavour from launch pad 39B to pad 39A. The location is about 1.5 miles to the south.

Endeavour’s crew will arrive at the space center on October 29. They will practice landings in modified jets and emergency escape procedures at the launch pad.
