Obama Military – President Barack Obama’s new military strategy leaves many Americans fearful about the future.
On Thursday, the head of state outlined an extensive brand-new strategy for the US Department of Defense.
It will focus the country’s armed forces on Asia and the Pacific region; in addition, they will maintain an active existence in the Middle East. However, there will no longer be American ground forces that are comprehensive enough to carry-out lengthened, immense counterinsurgency operations like those in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Further more, in the Pentagon briefing room, the President declared his seal on a military strategy that advocates outside of the constant wars that he inherited from the Bush administration. In opposition, Obama wanted to rely more on air and naval power in the Strait of Hormuz and the Pacific as an equilibrium to China and Iran.
Barack’s fresh strategy will decrease hundreds of billions of dollars in military funding, making it an inopportune modification to the contentious relationship he has allocated with the armed forces since his term in office began.
According to a letter that Obama sent with the new plan, he wants to get the United States economics in order and rejuvenate our perpetual financial strength. Additionally, he conveyed that his administration will continue to provide intelligence gathering, counter terrorism, countering the proliferation of nuclear weapons and cyber-warfare.
Even with this drastically modified plan the US will still to have a ridiculously large defense budget.
