After making her debut on the big screen in “Battleship,” it appears that singer Rihanna will continue in acting, because now she’s locking down a movie role in Fast and Furious 6, which will be out in theaters next year.
A source reporting for The Sun, the singer has impressed some with her acting skills, including movie producers.
“Rihanna impressed with her acting debut in Battleship,” the source said. “Writers think she’ll be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn’t take any prisoners just like her in real life.”
In the movie, she will co-star along side series constant Paul Walker, as well as returning veteran Vin Diesel, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will also be returning after starring in the last film.
According to the Sun, the RandB singer will be filming her parts in London, where filmmakers will have to work around the Summer Olympics that will be taking place during shooting.
Starring in this movie may mean another appearance in for a 7th film after Vin Diesel explained that the story in the 6th film will make room for another movie.
“With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space,” Diesel said.
Look for Rihanna in the 6th film due out in 2013.
