Rejoice because this list of cute anime boys will blow your hats off. I usually focus on female characters, but it’s been a while since I addressed all of you anime fangirls out there, so I decided to create this list.
Now, the anime community is quite biased, especially when it comes to discussing one’s favorite characters. These 27 anime boys may not appear cute in your eyes, and that’s acceptable. I researched before picking the top contenders that appear on this list. They may be imperfect and biased, but they’re my picks.
So, if you have any suggestions, please mention them in the comments below, and if I get at least 27 more names, I might consider doing a part two. Nonetheless, being an anime connoisseur, I am sure you’ll like my list of old and new characters. Let’s begin.
27 Cutest Anime Boys Of All Time
I researched multiple sources (Reddit, Facebook groups, and Twitter) before putting together this list. I even asked around a bunch of my Otaku friends, who also pitched in with their opinions. So I assume I have a well-rounded list that caters to the tastes of several individuals. I hope you like them.
1) Ginji Amano (Get Backers)
I’m starting off the list with a classic pick. Ginji won’t be everyone’s choice right off the bat, but there is a lot going for him. He is an energetic, unassuming, and friendly character in the Get Backers franchise.
The cute and friendly lad whom you least expect to have a dark past, aka the ‘Lightning Emperor,’ wins the hearts of everyone who lays eyes on him with his bubbly and naive personality.
2) Zenitsu Agatsuma (Demon Slayer)
Being one of the lead characters in the Demon Slayer, Zenitsu’s appeal comes from his unique quirk. Not only can he use only one dance form, but he can do so once he is asleep. The silly yet loveable slayer may be the underdog, but underestimate him in a fight, and you won’t live to see another day.
Zenitsu is an oddball, even compared to Tanjiro, but that’s what makes him unique in the anime world.
3) Alphonse Elric (FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
We only get glimpses of Alphone’s original body, and mostly it’s just an empty suit of armor. However, his wide range of emotions makes him quite an adorable character. Sprinkle some brotherly love into the mix, and you have one of the most memorable characters in the anime universe.
I highly recommend the anime if you haven’t watched it already. It has a great story and an even greater character-building arc, appealing to both anime and non-anime lovers.
4) Yuu Nishinoya (Haikyuu)
The entire cast of Haikyuu is filled with memorable characters, and Yuu Nishinoya is no different. He plays the Libero, or the Middle Blocker, position in the anime, which is a key defensive role.
He was responsible for saving more than a few points, and the way he moves is simply inhuman. His greatest charm is revealed in his passion for the game.
5) Tetsuya Kuroko (Kuroko No Basuke)
Kuroko’s humble and cute appearance is in direct contrast to the burly professionals usually associated with basketball. However, the writers and artists did an amazing job of crafting such an adorable character. Even his development arc is filled with a wide variety of challenges.
His innocent blue eyes, paired with a passive blank face, is enough to knock out even the most emotionally resilient otaku lover.
6) Falco Grice (Attack on Titan: The Final Season)
In spite of Attack on Titan’s dark overtone, Falco is quite an adorable character due to his innocence. Even during wartime, he didn’t lose his kind-hearted nature. However, he also didn’t give in to mass hysteria and held onto his beliefs, doing his best to protect his friends.
Falco is not only cute, but he also harbors the maturity of a grown man, thereby earning his way onto the list.
7) Killua Zoldyck (Hunter X Hunter)
Killua makes his debut in one of the most impressive animes of all time. His personality is remarkable and makes him stand out in his show.
Moreover, the skills that this kid possesses are comparable to those of a man, and his prowess is appreciated even by his opponents. Throw a ripped and attractive body with eight-pack abs into the mix and you have a truly remarkable package that’ll give any otaku fan a nosebleed.
8) Dazai Osamu (Bungo Stray Dogs)
Dazai Osamu is among the lead characters of Bungo Stray Dogs and takes up a more mainstream role in the second arc. He is a charismatic boy, and he is the perfect eye candy for all the ladies out there.
He may seem adorable, but his truly resilient and steadfast nature is revealed at the end of the anime, which makes him all the more charismatic and cute.
9) Shinya Hiragi (Owari No Seraph)
The people around him were immediately riveted by this man. And given how attractive Shinya is, that should not come as a surprise. Furthermore, he has killer looks.
The lead character in Owari no Seraph, Shinya, sports the perfect blend of cuteness and hotness. His personality makes him stand out from the rest of the cast in the anime. If you find overpowered desirable, then Shinya is your boy.
10) Norman (The Promised Neverland)
Norman is not only cute, but he is also the brains behind the entire plot of the anime. The cute mess of white hair is quite misleading, but given the chance, he will start dancing around you.
However, it’s not all laughs and giggles with Noman. He is also capable of suppressing his fears and doing what’s necessary to protect his loved ones. It’s a remarkable quality for someone his age, earning him a spot on this list.
11) Ruka Urushibara (Steins; Gate)
It’s hard to believe Ruka is a boy. (Spoilers) The series even includes his gender in the plot where he actually turns into a girl in episode 8.
Nonetheless, he is an interesting character and one of the prettiest boys in the anime universe. The fact that he is so shy even adds to his overall cuteness. But his true beauty isn’t revealed until Mayuri convinces him to start cosplaying.
12) Genos (One Punch Man)
As hopeless as Genos may be, there is no denying his appeal and cuteness. There is no universe where the cyborg comes even marginally close to his master, but his pursuit of power makes him all the more appealing.
The metallic physique, combined with the handsome features and sometimes gullible nature, definitely earns this cutie a spot on this list.
13) Ferris (Re: Zero)
Ferris is a classic trap and has broken the hearts of many men when they realized he was a male character. Although he isn’t a core character in the franchise, his sheer cuteness cannot be undermined.
Ferris is noble, loyal, and cute, and represents the peak of aristocracy as depicted in the anime, making any fan swoon over him at first glance.
14) Yuno Grinberryall (Black Clover)
Cool and calm, handsome and mysterious, Yuno’s personality is a classic archetype in most anime series. His charisma is evident from the royal blood that’s flowing through his veins, giving him the power advantage during the early stages of the show.
It’s hard not to fall for such a passionate character, who is driven by an incorruptible sense of justice.
15) Natsu Dragneel (Fairy Tail)
Fairy Tail has been quite generous in the fan service department. Both their male and female characters have cute and handsome features. Some might even call them borderline luscious.
Natsu doesn’t only stand out because of his pink hair and cute features, but his fiery personality and resolve of steel mark him as a shining beacon of light and secure his position on my list.
16) Son Goku (Dragon Ball Z)
One of Goku’s amazing traits is his simple-minded nature, even when he has enough power to snuff out the universe. Like all DBZ characters, the guy has a ripped body since his early childhood, which becomes even stranger as he grows up.
To be honest, the entire cast of DBZ deserves its own dedicated cuteness list. Since he is the poster child for the franchise, Goku secured a spot on this list.
17) Inumaki Toge (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Inumaki Toge is among the lead characters in Jujutsu Kaisen and is a boy of few words. Due to his cursed technique, he is unable to speak many words, but this only serves to enhance his cuteness and increase our admiration for him.
And if you view him through the eyes of a Jujutsu Kaisen fan, you can’t help but adore his design and contribution to the entire series.
18) Midoriya Izuku (My Hero Academia)
If you’ve read or watched My Hero Academia, you already know that Midoriya is a young man who has a strong desire to become a hero. His social awkwardness and confusion only serve to enhance his all-around cute appeal.
As the plot develops, he grows into a more irresistible character who has a lot riding on his back. His can-do attitude coupled with his hard-earned charisma has earned him a spot on this list.
19) Yukine (Noragami)
Yato and Yukine were close contenders for this list, but I ultimately chose Yato.
Innocence is a big part of what it means to be “cute.” Because of this, we find children and babies to be endearing. Yukine’s situation is almost identical. Yes, he is not entirely innocent, but he is also not immodest, and like everyone else, he too needs to learn what it means to be a Shinki.
20) Sano Manjiro (Tokyo Revengers)
Mikey is a complete goofball who is innocent and only wants to have fun with his friends, despite the fact that he is renowned for being untouchable on the battlefield.
Mikey typically exhibits his childish side, especially when he is with Draken, Emma, or Takemitchy. He frequently beams at them and teases them. Rarely does Mikey discuss the contents of Toman; instead, he typically engages in banal conversation, which is a testament to his cuteness.
21) Kageyama Shigeo (Mob Psycho 100)
Shigeo is far too kind-hearted for this cruel world in Mob Psycho 100. His purity is in direct contrast to the world around him.
I was emotionally hurt by the one episode where he was shown a world without his psychic ability. He had previously shown signs of not wanting to use his strength in battle, but he had repeatedly been pushed around until he lost his temper. You can’t get any cuter than this.
22) Aladdin (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic)
Aladdin may appear to be a young child, but in reality, he is a perverted brat who enjoys groping women’s chests.
First of all, he still has a cutesy demeanor, which I believe appeals to female fans. Second, he is not a reincarnated senior who was isekai’d into a different dimension. In spite of how much some of you and I dislike it, Aladdin is still recognized as an adorable boy.
23) Sohma Kyo (Fruits Basket)
Kyo occasionally has a tendency to act rudely toward women. However, that’s somewhat counterbalanced by the fact that he is your typical Tsundere male character.
Kyo has a good heart, but he is reluctant to show it because he views it as a sign of weakness. Nevertheless, he will display his sensitive side to the ones close to him, which is not only cute but also warrants a spot on this list.
24) Kamado Tanjiro (Demon Slayer)
It is understandable why fangirls find him to be a charming male character. The mangaka created a pure, innocent main character by carefully crafting every aspect of his overall design and his demeanor when dealing with various situations.
However, Tanjiro occasionally loses his cool. But the fact that he can appear dangerous when needed and tone down his anger when necessary makes him quite a remarkable character.
25) Hinata Shoyo (Haikyuu)
The reason Hinata gets so much attention is that he is the lead character in the anime.
In essence, Hinata is a goofball who frequently displays childlike behavior. Fans adore him because of his hyperactivity, optimism, cheeriness, and cuteness. Hinata is a breath of fresh air, and his happiness is toxic. He deserves a spot on this list because of his indomitable nature.
26) Lelouch vi Britannia (Code Geass)
Lelouch is more mature than the other contenders on this list. In spite of his secondary identity (Zero) and everything he did, he was anything but cute and charismatic.
Not only is he calm and sophisticated, but when the time came, he created a revolution, which is unheard of even for characters his age. Overpowered abilities are one thing, but Lelouch is a prodigy with the looks to go along with it.
27) Tatsumi (Akame Ga Kill)
Akame Ga Kill is an underrated anime and Tatsumi is an overlooked character. In my opinion, Tatsumi is one of the best characters in the entire anime universe.
His level-headed friendliness cost him a lot when he first entered the city. However, even after learning the harsh realities of the Empire, he doesn’t lose his innocence. He fights for the right cause with an honest, cute, and innocent heart and has more than earned this final spot on our list.
What Is The Cutest Anime Character Boy?
The cutest anime character boy has to be Tanjiro Kamado. He is one of the most kind-hearted guys you will find and deeply loves his family. Nonetheless, he is a very strong boy as well who cannot be underestimated. Tanjiro’s character is also equally popular and well-liked by everyone. With 6,742 votes, he was rated top in the Demon Slayer character popularity poll.
