Auto insurance can be expensive and the rates can be more costly depending on the model of car you drive. We have compiled a list of the lowest insurance rates by model. This list includes 10 vehicles, including cars and SUVs, and all models are of the same 2011 year.

Lowest Auto Insurance Rates By ModelThe rates are determined by several factors. For example, cars that are more expensive to repair will cost you more to insure. Providers calculate the value of the vehicle and other collision costs to figure out your premiums.

The driver’s accident record also plays a big role. If you are prone to accidents, you can pretty much guarantee a higher premium to insure your vehicle. Too many accidents, and the provider can cancel your policy.
