The Tesla Roadster is now available Hertz for $1,500 per day as part of a new electric car plug-in fleet.
Hertz has acquired a pair of the 125-mph electric sports cars and is renting the two-seaters to drivers. It’s available for those with a major need for speed. The Tesla Roadster smoothly can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds without a drop of gasoline.
These are also green vehicles available for rent. They offer both the Thunder Gray and Fusion Red hardtop convertible. The car comes charged up and the rental company will even deliver it.
“The Tesla Roadster makes the boldest statement yet that electric vehicles are a breakthrough in car travel: zero emissions combined with cool design and tremendous driving performance,” Mark P. Frissora, Hertz Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said in a statement.
Engineered for efficiency, the zero-emission electric vehicle can drive 245 miles per charge. It plugs into nearly any outlet. The price for the electric car is about $109,000.
“The Tesla Roadster proves that electric vehicles can offer supercar style, acceleration, and handling with no emissions,” said Elon Musk, Tesla CEO and Co-founder. “We are happy that Hertz has chosen Tesla to accentuate its electric rental fleet and let even more people experience the full potential of electric vehicles”
