Betty White has a fan base that’s growing each day, and they want her to host ‘SNL’. The actress, known for her role in the TV series Golden Girls, is being asked by fans to appear on Saturday Night Live. It’s now up to NBC.
David Mathews, creator of the Facebook Fan Page, dispatched a letter to Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels. The letter was sent at the end of January. The fan page at the time reached 150,000 followers.
“My ask of you is simple,” Mathews wrote to Michaels. “What would it take to get you to invite Betty White to [appear] on SNL? She is brilliant, funny, witty, and a comedic genius and legend. I have little doubt that it would be a ratings hit.”
White, 88, now has a fan page that grew to more than 105,000 followers. The page was dedicated by fans, and it continues to grow in popularity. What’s also interesting is that Betty has a broad audience from children to adults.
There’s not too many Hollywood icons that can draw similar demographics as this actress can. She is loved by kids as much as she is loved by adults. Moreover, she is special, her fans know it.
